Day Two: Something You Feel Strongly About
There are a lot of things I feel strongly about. Homelessness and poverty, gay rights, animal cruelty, alcoholism, sexual assault, abuse.
Homelessness and Poverty- People are always struggling and are in need of help. If you see someone with a sign, just take a second out of your day and smile at them. Just seeing someone smiles at them makes them feel like they aren’t invisible. Don’t take things for granted. Be grateful for what you have because some people don’t have what they need while you have what you want. Don’t waste food, take less than you want and go back for more. Or another thing, just buy someone food instead of giving them money.
Gay Rights- People have the right to love whoever they want. I think that it’s so fucking wrong that people judge people based on who they love and care about. It’s stupid that people who are gay can’t marry who they want. It’s ridiculous that people are ridiculed for caring about someone of the same gender. That’s bull shit!
Animal Cruelty- Treat an animal the way you would want to be treated. Animals can’t communicate with us the way we communicate with each other. They can’t let you know that you’re hurting them. Treat them kindly. They don’t deserve to be hurt!
Alcoholism- Don’t fucking joke around about it. It’s a fucking serious disease and people die from it every day! If you think it’s a joke, wait till one of your friends get hurt or die from it, and we’ll see whose laughing then. Alcoholism takes people out of the norm and makes them not themselves. It makes them depressed, bipolar, crazy, insane! Don’t judge people if they say they are alcoholic and are getting help. If they are getting help, then you should be supportive of them so they don’t die. If they aren’t, suggest that they get help.
Sexual Assault- No one, NO ONE deserves to be assaulted in any way. It’s not okay to force someone to do something that they don’t want to do. By doing that, you basically make the other person feel violated and helpless! Don’t be the next person to be assaulted.
